Renowned journalist and Apple leak specialist Mark Gurman already knows what the smallest iPad Pro will be.

Mark is sure - now there is no longer any doubt that on March 21, Apple will show a tablet with a 9.7-inch screen and make it part of the iPad Pro line.
What else, besides the name, will be interesting for the new product?
The first news is pleasant. For the first time in the history of 9.7-inch iPads, Apple will release a basic version of the tablet not with 16, but with 32 GB of internal memory. However, you will have to pay for the pleasure - the "junior" iPad Pro will not cost $ 499, but a hundred dollars more - $ 599, while the version with the LTE module is not provided. The modem will only appear on the 9.7-inch iPad Pro with 128GB ROM. There also does not appear to be an "interim" 64 GB version.
The new iPad will not replace the iPad Air 2 - Apple will keep the version of the "air" tablet with 16 GB of internal memory in the current lineup. As a result, buyers will have greater freedom of choice - people will be able to purchase either a cheaper device with less memory, or a more expensive one with 32 GB of ROM. But the original iPad Air can be removed from sale - the stocks of the first "air" in warehouses are decreasing, and they are apparently not going to replenish them in Cupertino.

No more changes are expected in the tablet direction - new versions of the 12.9-inch iPad Pro and iPad mini 4 will not be presented.
As expected, the iPad Pro with a 9.7-inch display will receive most of the features of the older model - four stereo speakers on the sides, a brighter display with Apple Pencil support, a Smart Connector for connecting a proprietary Smart Keyboard and an Apple A9X processor.

The difference from the model with a 12.9-inch display will lie in a photomodule: the new tablet will receive not an 8-, but a 12-megapixel camera with the ability to record video in 4K format.
