On July 24 this year, the Chinese Pangu Team released a utility that allows you to jailbreak iOS 9.3.3 and earlier OS versions. Installing a jailbreak application requires the installation of the appropriate certificate, the validity of which varies from seven days to one year.
Finding out the validity period of a certificate is not as difficult as it seems at first glance. This can be done using the step-by-step instructions published below.
How to determine the validity period of the digital certificate used to install the jailbreak tool
1. Download from Cydia and install the free iFile app.
2. Run the application and open the / var / MobileDevice / ProvisioningProfiles folder.
3. Open the certificate file in a text editor.
4. Find the line ExpirationDate. It contains the expiration date of the certificate. If the date is 2017, then the certificate is valid for 365 days. If not, the certificate is valid for 7 days.
If the above method seems too complicated for you, you can use an easier method. Go to "Settings" -> "General" -> "Device Management". If you see a certificate similar to the one shown in the screenshot below, then you are using a Corporate Certificate that has been valid for a year.
