Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak loves giving interviews and talking about his friend Jobs. So this time, "Woz" sat on his favorite skate: during the filming of the documentary "American Genius: Jobs vs. Gates" on National Geographic TV, he explained the difference between the two IT entrepreneurs.

There is no better expert in this regard. Wozniak worked on the same team with Jobs back in the days when Apple and Microsoft were just beginning to compete, and he knew both his friend and his opponent very well.
So how does the founder of Microsoft differ from the creator of Apple?
According to Wozniak, Jobs always looked exclusively forward. The late Apple CEO was always trying to find an answer to the question of what life will be like in the future. But Bill Gates was the man of today. He lived in the moment and did what was needed “here and now”: he created a company and earned “quick” money.
In the end, each of them achieved what he wanted. Today the "late" Steve Jobs is recognized as a key figure in the history of the creation and development of computers. But Gates knows best in the world how to make money. These are not empty words - after all, the ex-head of Microsoft topped the list of the richest people on the planet dozens of times.

“You really should have the vision of things that Steve Jobs had. But the vision will give you nothing if you create the product before it is economically viable, because you will have to somehow return the investment. This was the case in the days of the Macintosh, when the global [computer] market grew 10 times, and Apple did not keep up with it."
