IPhone data leaks from supply chains, blurry photographs from Chinese enterprises, varying degrees of realism of publications on Chinese social networks - we are all used to this. But few were ready for the fact that a completely authentic smartphone would be in the hands of Russian industry observers a week before the release.
A video has been posted on the Rozetked YouTube channel showing a 4.7-inch iPhone 6 fully loaded. The only annoying caveat is that the smartphone still turned out to be inoperative, but then the presentation on September 9 could have been completely skipped. So, as expected, the gadget is assembled in an iPod Touch-style case with rounded edges, a camera protruding above the back surface, a power button shifted to one side, extended volume keys, etc. Unfortunately, of the two expected solutions to the problem with signal reception through the all-metal case, Apple engineers chose the one that the absolute majority of users liked least of all.
The logo has become “liquid metal”, but not luminous, as expected, and the display is made of an unknown material, but not the long-awaited sapphire. The markings of the internal modules voiced by the Rozetked reviewers are not surprising - the Apple A8 microprocessor and the expected NFC chip, nothing is said about the update of the LTE and Wi-Fi modules.
In general, the presented iPhone 6 has a double feeling. On the one hand, the presence of NFC and the assurances of the author of the video that the device "lies in the hand" and "looks" brighten up the general chagrin (nevertheless, the hope of seeing surprises was still smoldering). On the other hand, at the presentation on September 9, we will still see a lot of new things, for example, new camera capabilities, M8 coprocessor, updated (software and hardware) Touch ID, the same NFC chip, etc. In addition, there remains a minimal chance that the iPhone 6 that has fallen into the hands of reviewers is one of the latest prototypes, but not the final version of the device.
