What if you are crazy about travel, but there is a sorely lack of time to study foreign languages? The developers of the Talk and Translate app for iPhone and iPad believe it's time to write off this problem, since it has long been out of date.
Not every school has competent teachers who explain the basics of the languages they learn to children at a high level and accessible. Because of this, often from the school curriculum, only random scraps of phrases remain in the memory, which would be at least strange to explain to native speakers. However, it is not for nothing that our century is called the age of high technologies - technological progress has led to the fact that even without knowing the language, the user can communicate with foreigners without any problems.
In general, many different translation programs have appeared on the App Store in recent years, but not all of them are endowed with a high level of speech recognition, such as, for example, " Speak and Translate ". The latter has, among other things, a base of 42 languages for voice translation and 100 languages for text.
Speak and Translate is one of the best apps in its price segment. The version with advertising and restrictions on the number of translations is distributed free of charge, and with open access to all options (the number of translations is not limited) is sold for 599 rubles.
The program interface is minimalistic and easy to use. In order to translate a phrase, you must select the icons of the corresponding languages. In Settings, you can select two translation options - voice or text. With quality voice recognition technology, Speak & Translate can handle even accented speech. At the same time, the quality of the translation itself is unexpectedly high for a program that is not widely heard.
However, before you decide to use the app on your next trip, be aware that it does not work offline. That is, you will need access to the Internet and, accordingly, a local SIM card or an open Wi-Fi network. Also, do not forget about the free version, which has a limit of allowed transfers.
