Refusal to port one of the desktop versions of the game to iOS and Android is quite justified, especially when there is an opportunity to create a very exciting first-person shooter, which is Hitman Sniper. It is worth noting that once gamers have already seen something similar - in 2011 Hitman: Sniper Challenge was released, which was a small bonus for users who pre-ordered Hitman: Absolution. Apparently, the publishers received positive reviews and decided to re-implement the idea this summer.

As you might guess from the name, in Hitman Sniper the player will deal with criminal bosses and terrorists exclusively with the help of a sniper rifle. At the same time, there is no need (or opportunity) to move - all missions are performed from one position at a single location (the second has already been announced). These are three houses in which a Christmas party is held, among those present there are a lot of notorious villains, as well as their guards.

Naturally, Square Enix could not release a game reminiscent of shooting at targets in a shooting range, the uniformity of the gameplay is leveled by various interesting tasks. For example, simulate an accident with a shot at the electrical panel, kill the guard so that the corpse falls into the jacuzzi, puncture the wheel of the car and shoot the driver who comes running to the sound of the alarm. In addition, there is a whole list of possible achievements for which additional points and money are given - these are kills without holding your breath, through obstacles, at moving targets, a series of murders, and much more.

The controls are implemented quite conveniently - the pinch-to-zoom gesture is responsible for the approach, the button on the left is for shooting (it must be turned on in the settings), and on the right there is a button for holding the breath. Ballistics is implemented at the proper level - you don't have to take a lead in the wind, but it is quite difficult to hit a running person.

The set of rifles is not too wide, you can get them both for donating real money and collecting parts when completing tasks. Moreover, each weapon has three unique features. The starting rifle allows you to highlight interactive objects at the location, hold your breath for a long time, and increase the power of the shot, then new "abilities" appear (explosive cartridges, a jammer for a walkie-talkie, an improved sight, etc.).

The gameplay of Hitman Sniper is very exciting - even with a temporary presence of only one location, the gamer is given a certain freedom of action. Quite a lot of time is allotted to eliminate the main goal, and the player is free to earn points at his own discretion before the decisive shot. The killing of secondary targets, guards is encouraged, even for shooting at the serving character, only a little scold on the radio. At the same time, there are quite a lot of interactive objects at the location that allow you to show your imagination - to blow up a heater next to a security guard, disconnect communications, breaking a satellite dish on the roof, etc.
