Any Instagram user knows that iOS has the functionality to save every photo taken for the service and published. However, this opportunity does not seem useful and necessary for everyone. For iPhone users who want to opt out of storing photos locally for Instagram, this tutorial will help.

How to prevent Instagram photos from being saved to Camera Roll on iPhone
Open the Instagram app on iPhone and follow these steps:
1. Click on the icon associated with your profile in the service, and then click the button in the upper right corner to display the side menu.
2. In the pop-up menu that appears, tap on "Settings".

3. On the page that opens, enter the "Account" section.
4. Scroll down to Source Photos and select it.

5. Move the "Keep original photos" switch to the Off position.

Note the explanation that accompanies this switch. When enabled, the camera automatically saves unedited photos and videos taken with the Instagram camera to your Camera Roll. If you need to store these materials locally on the device, you just need to activate the switch again.
Now all that remains is to click on the arrow in the upper left corner to return to the previous menu and exit the application settings.
