Indie games are a rather specific genre for the amateur, and not all of them can boast of creativity and free flight of imagination. But this does not apply to the Hidden Folks project - you do not often find games drawn by hand, and even voiced by the developer himself.

Hidden Folks is a peaceful game in which there are no monsters, spy passions, rivers of blood and mountains of corpses. All you need to do here is to search for hidden people, animals and objects in the drawn interactive areas. The player only needs to be careful.
At first glance, the task is quite simple, but do not rush to rejoice. The game offers 15 levels, but each of them contains a huge number of hidden objects, and the number of unique interactions exceeds two hundred. All objects on the virtual sheet are hand-drawn, scanned and animated, and almost every one of them can be touched or stroked. Often, objects work in conjunction, so by accidentally touching an object, you can reveal a whole series of hidden objects.
Interestingly, the developer of Hidden Folks did not turn to free libraries, but personally voiced the game, recording over a thousand voice effects.
Each level offers game screens that you need to scroll and scale. Many objects in the game are interactive, for example, doors open near houses, hatches move aside, and canopy can be folded down near tents. Finding people and objects requires increased attention, since often their size can be only a few pixels. There are hints in the game that can be obtained by clicking on the tape, but they are not very effective. Hidden Folks offers three modes: day, night and sepia, in addition, it is translated into 22 languages, including Russian.
Hidden Folks is a kind of black and white game with cute art and simple point-and-click mechanics. It allows you to relax and take a break from challenging aggressive projects, but at the same time makes your brain work. Plus, Hidden Folks is also suitable for children, allowing them to develop mindfulness in a fun way.
