Once upon a time, the function of using the iPhone in USB modem mode or as a Wi-Fi hotspot was my dream. There were a lot of Nokia around, who could easily do this, and Apple, in turn, did not want to add this functionality to iOS. But, I remained devoted to my device, and somewhere on the network I found a solution called iModem and cost $ 7. After that, I safely received Internet access on a PC using an iPhone via a USB cable.
iModem was very inconvenient to use - it required mandatory input of proxy server settings and worked fine only in Internet Explorer.
Things are much simpler now, the latest versions of iOS include tethering and personal hotspot features by default. But for a large number of iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS users with older firmware, we want to tell you about the wonderful PdaNet application from Cydia from developer June Fabrics Tech.
PdaNet is an "all-in-one" program and allows you to use the iPhone both in tethering mode and as a Wi-Fi hotspot.
