Activation is a mandatory process when the iPhone is first put into operation, which consists in transferring information read from the SIM card installed in the phone from an official operator using iTunes to the Apple server. In the database on the Apple server, the existence of a contract for this SIM card is checked, if the information matches, then a special code is sent to the phone, which sets
active state for the lockdownd module.
Correctly (legally) activating a locked phone (see unlocking, unlocking) can only be done using the SIM card of the operator on which the phone is locked.
Officially unlocked, the so-called "neverlock" is activated by any operator's SIM card.
Hactivation is the ability to bypass the activation that appears after the jailbreak procedure, which opens access to the lockdownd and artificially changes it to the desired status. After that, access to the phone's "desktop" - SpringBoard is opened.
