Pixelmator, the Photoshop analog for Mac and iPad, has received an update to version 3.3, which brings a new design, as well as a number of new features and improvements that take imaging usability to the next level.

The update to the new version is available in the Mac App Store (free for those who purchased the program earlier) from November 6 of this year. In addition to a new design with translucent elements that fits perfectly with the style of OS X Yosemite, the graphics editor received a new extension called Repair Tool, which allows you to quickly process photos (for example, remove unnecessary objects) in other applications for Mac, such as Mail or TextEdit without even opening the main application. You just need to insert the image into the text of the letter and process it directly in the Mail application. All of this is made available through the Extensions feature from OS X Yosemite and iOS 8.which allows applications to “share” their functionality with the operating system for use in other applications.

Moreover, the application now supports iCloud Drive and the previously announced Handoff feature, which allows users to switch from device to device - for example, continue processing a photo on a Mac from where you left off while working on an iPad.

To top it off, the developers announced improvements to the file format used by the program, as well as numerous improvements and optimizations designed to increase the stability and responsiveness of the application.
