However, the guys from The Slow Mo Guys are not interested in the reaction to the blow and the subsequent actions of the victim, but in the moment the ball touches the face.
In order to see in detail what happens at the moment of impact, they filmed a video at an accelerated pace with the so-called "slow motion" or slo-mo effect.
The slow motion effect is familiar to many from boxer films. Surely everyone remembers at least one scene when, in slow motion, a fighter's fist powerfully rams the air and hits it hard in the head. At the moment of impact, the boxing glove and the opponent's face are bizarrely deformed, giving the viewer an indescribable sensation. The Slow Mo Guys decided to reproduce this scene, but instead of a fist in a boxing glove, they used a regular soccer ball.
The guys already did this experiment in 2010, but the current video was filmed using modern equipment. New technologies made it possible to slow down the video even more (1120 times compared to the original!), Thanks to which the moment of impact can be seen even more closely.
