A large number of Apple fans, who have always considered the products of Cupertinians the best, are very unhappy with their own cartographic application in the new operating system, which has become much worse, moreover, the case of the new iPhone 5 is very quickly and easily subject to scratches.
Many unanimously express the opinion that while Jobs was alive, the company did not allow such blunders. However, if you look closely, there were bloopers and much worse. Here are just a few examples.
1.1984 Apple Macintosh 128K dubbed the toaster

With the advent of the Macintosh 128K, the era of graphical interfaces began. Many will remember his 1984 commercial. It was with the advent of this computer that all Apple machines were named Mac. Nevertheless, even though it was a breakthrough, its sales left much to be desired. The first reason for this was that the computer did not have a fan. Steve Jobs took such a step so that the noise of coolers did not interfere with the work of users. Because of this, breakdowns very often began to appear due to overheating. That is why the people began to call the computer a toaster, which could not but affect the attitude of buyers towards it. Apple corrected its mistake in 1987 when it installed a fan in the new Macintosh SE.
2. 1992 year. Performa a series of computers that Jobs himself did not understand

When Steve Jobs retired from the company in 1980, management welcomed any ideas to expand the product range. Moreover, they were not at all interested in whether users would need new products. One such striking example is the Performa series of computers. It was created very simply - the models of the old series were just given a different name, which from the outside seemed like a very active activity. Sales volumes were falling, because there were a lot of new products, and buyers simply could not understand a huge number of models. Moreover, Jobs could not figure it out when in 1997 he returned to the company. In order not to rack his brains both for himself and the customers, he made a simpler, but very understandable system from the very beginning.
3.13993 Newton stylus and platform for mobile

The first Apple devices to feature touchscreen displays were devices powered by the Newton platform. Unfortunately, they were not at all triumphant. One of the reasons for the failure was that the data had to be entered using a stylus, which Jobs did not like so much. When he returned to work at Apple, these smartphones were discontinued. When devices began to be produced that did not need a stylus, it turned out that users like to work more with the phone with only their fingers.
4. 1998 year. The mouse is round

Along with the appearance of the first iMac computer, the supposedly best mouse made in the form of a washer was presented. The computer itself was a success, but the mouse, on the contrary, caused some bewilderment. The reason for this is that it was difficult for her to control without first checking whether she was correctly taken in her hand. Therefore, over time, the developers made changes, and eventually the mouse began to look quite traditional. Nobody remembered the round one.
5.1999 Mac CD drives disappoint music lovers

Steve Jobs was not very fond of ordinary disk drives, he liked the small slots, which were equipped with the next, after 1998, generations of Mac computers. But it turned out that users who downloaded music from the Internet did not really like it. It was possible to write it to discs only with a floppy drive, since the "slots" could only read the disc. Everything rested on the fact that it was also not possible to replace the drive. Therefore, computers began to sell much worse. But that pushed Mac developers to make slotted drives writeable, and users to abandon drives when the iPod came along.
6. 2000 year. Power Mac G4 Cube can only be stored in a museum

The most unusual brainchild of designer Jonathan Ive is the so-called "glass cube". He even ended up in the Museum of Modern Art in New York. But even from Apple's point of view, the cost was quite high - $ 1,799. And it is not entirely clear who it is aimed at, if ordinary users did not need a system unit (everything was in the monitor), and professionals preferred the Power Mac G4. As a result, due to low demand, the model was discontinued.
7.2008 year. Self-criticism of Jobs developed by MobileMe

Along with the release of the iPhone 3G, new projects were presented to the public - the App Store and the paid collection of MobileMe services. The first of them quickly became popular, but the second was very inconvenient, although it contained a large number of seemingly necessary sections (address book, photo gallery, etc.). He was actively criticized in the press. After a while, the service was replaced by free iCloud. And about his predecessor, Jobs said that it was not their best offer.
8.2010. Antenna in iPhone 4

The iPhone 4 had such serious connectivity problems that Apple representatives even had to organize a special meeting in order to answer all the questions from critics. To calm them down, Jobs even promised to give everyone a cover. However, it turned out that not all users actually experienced problems, but only a few. If we talk about problems and miscalculations, then they are more related to working with the public. Simply, Jobs, answering questions, categorically advised to hold the phone in some other way in case of problems with communication.
9.2010. Few people need Ping

In 2010, many realized that the Internet future would belong to social networks, which began to develop very actively. Apple also decided to keep up with this and created its own Ping music network on the iTunes service. Here you could subscribe to your favorite music and mark your favorite artist. However, after a while it turned out that the service was not popular, then it was replaced with regular Facebook services.
10. 2012 year. iPhone 5 - Scratches and Maps

The new iPhone 5 is known to have a number of drawbacks related to Maps and body. In fact, it's worth agreeing that Apple's new Maps have many shortcomings so far. However, to justify Apple, I would like to say that Google had more time to collect information and improve its application. But if we talk about the case, then it is unlikely that the problem is of such a huge scale, although the gadget is not really protected from scratches, but this is not the biggest drawback.
