The Minims - A New Beginning is an interactive point-and-click adventure game for iOS. The developer of the application is Beyondthosehills Studio, which describes itself as "a small independent development team from Greece." The game was originally created by engineer Andreas Diktyopoulos in 2013 as a benchmark test.

The Minims - A New Beginning is a nearly completely reworked original game with improved storyline, puzzles, graphics, and soundtrack.
The main character of the game is Mii - one of the last two representatives of the fantastic creatures of minim on the planet. The player must help him find his life partner Mo, who disappeared in an unknown direction. According to the plot, Mii and Mo live on top of a cliff - a tall stone pillar in the middle of an endless wasteland. The minima are furry creatures without arms or legs, but with huge expressive eyes.
The game starts by waking up the Mii. In order for the creature to wake up, the player must force the spider to come down from the bedroom window and blow the pipe. This is how the whole game progresses - you do not control the character entirely and completely, but rather push him in the right direction. The camera movement (the Mii bounces smoothly with every interaction) is reminiscent of the movement mechanics first introduced in Gabriel Knight 3. Unfortunately, since the game was released, these mechanisms have rarely been used, although they are ideal for interactive games.
Despite its simplicity, The Minims - A New Beginning's plot is very moving. In the course of the game, you will have to face such life problems as the difficulty of choice and moral values. For the character, and for the player as well, finding Mo is a journey in an attempt to find himself.
At the start of the game, Mii changes the water in his pond using a rainwater cloud machine and brews coffee for the talking bush. However, the hero is forced to leave his cozy abode and go in search of his missing wife. The game is not completely devoid of words - dialogue bubbles appear every now and then, like in comics. Other characters also meet, but conversations are kept to a minimum. It should be noted that the game speaks for itself without further ado.
The Minims - A New Beginning is a small personal story with a minimalistic interface, unhurried gameplay and uncomplicated riddles, which sometimes seem too ridiculous, and a charming soundtrack by Maria Aloupy only enhances the experience.
