Actually, the first surprise was the naming - the budget line, which began with last year's iPhone XR, was continued by the iPhone 11, the flagship smartphone received the Pro prefix, and the most expensive model with a large screen is called the iPhone 11 Pro Max, for which the gadget instantly received the nickname in the Russian-speaking community "Miss." As expected, Apple did not revolutionize the industry, presenting the next flagship with a fairly wide, but not impressive functionality.

The first thing that catches your eye when visually comparing the iPhone 11 Pro with the predecessor iPhone XS is the main camera module. The new product has a one-piece back panel made of sheet glass with a square platform for lenses, microphone and flash. At the same time, the glass itself is made using double ion exchange technologies, which makes the body of the gadget even more durable. The frame of the smartphone, as in last year's version, is made of stainless steel.
In addition, Apple's branded bitten apple looks slightly unusual, which flaunts right in the geometric center of the rear panel of the iPhone 11 Pro, shifted a few centimeters down.

One of the advantages of the display is the high brightness of 800 cd / m², which can peak at 1200 cd / m² when displaying HDR images or HDR10 video. It should also be noted technologies True Tone and Night Shift, which automatically adjust brightness, contrast and color temperature depending on the ambient light.

Apple pays special attention to machine learning when developing the processor, and this applies not only to the third-generation Neural Engine chip, which is used for ultra-fast processing of the most complex algorithms (for example, imaging from three cameras). The company has implemented the Core ML 3 system, which will allow third-party developers to use the machine learning capabilities of the A13 Bionic processor with automatic task distribution between the CPU, GPU and Neural Engine.

The camera's software innovations deserve special attention. In particular, the interface of the application for shooting has been redesigned and significantly simplified, the SmartHDR functionality has been improved to change the detail and optimize lighting for face recognition, and a number of tools and algorithms have been added for shooting portrait photos of even higher quality.
In addition, the "Night mode" is implemented, which automatically turns on when shooting at night or in low light conditions to obtain brighter photos and video clips. In this case, the results lend themselves to deeper subsequent processing in manual mode.
Another useful feature is QuickTake, which allows you to quickly switch between photo and video modes. All you have to do is hold down the shutter button to start recording video, and then swipe back to the photo if necessary.
The developers also note work being done to improve the True Tone flash with Slow Sync, which now illuminates subjects up to 36% brighter.
